Please tell us a little about your background and how you got into yachting?

I first started sailing at the age of 11 and was lucky enough to represent my country and be part of the British Squad from 12 to 15. Having a great passion for the ocean, yachting seemed like a natural progression and I now have more than 20 years’ experience in the superyacht industry.

How long have you been a captain and what are some of the yachts you’ve worked on?

I completed my Masters in 2020. Previous yachts include: MY Devotion (30m), MY Honey Bear (30m), MY Siran (70m), MY Voyager (68m), MY April Fool (65m), MY Kiring (36m), MY Sycara III (57m), MY Capella C (60m).

When did you join this yacht?

I was the build captain, meaning I worked alongside the original owners, interior design team and shipyard from concept through until completion and delivery back in 2015.

How would you describe the owner’s vision for the yacht?

Attention to detail on every level on board a yacht which offers clients great adaptability in terms of cruising, comfort and speed, paralleled with exceptional service by its crew.

How would you describe the style and personality of the yacht?

A combination of design and performance.

How would you describe the ambiance on board?

Relaxed, ambient and unaversive yet always on point.

What’s your personal style as captain?

Lead by example, be positive, approachable, be a good communicator and have a good sense of humour.

What are some of the standout features of the yacht?

The interior design and the plethora of water toys are definitely two of our biggest selling points.

Which areas of the yacht do guests most tend to gather on board?

The upper salon and bar area are extremely popular, with a focus on the alfresco dining area outside.

What types of experience can you offer charter guests?

All experiences! The crew and I will adapt and deliver whatever the guests desire.

How would you describe the style and approach of the crew?

Always warm and approachable. At all times attentive yet adaptable to individual guests and group preferences.

How are the yacht and the crew prepared to accommodate children and teenagers on charter?

The yacht was built and designed around creating a safe family-style environment, and the crew/guest ratio of 9:12 benefits both service and safety aspects on board.

How would you describe the cuisine on board?

Exceptional and diverse!

What are your usual cruising grounds?

We generally charter in the western Med including Monaco, France, Corsica, Italy, Sardinia, Spain and the Balearic Islands.

Which destinations and your personal favourites and why?

I love west coast Corsica and the north west coast of Mallorca. The topography of the land from the sea is epic. With the right weather conditions, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some of the most dramatic coastal views in the whole of the Mediterranean.
