Built in 2010 by Dutch shipyard Hakvoort, she was refitted in 2020 and now offers a striking and timelessly elegant interior by renowned designer David Ostrander, whose beautifully curated modern art collection will impress and simply take your breath away.
An open plan salon features plenty of seating including circular sofas and comfortable armchairs and the space can be easily divided into two distinct zones using the versatile retractable entertainment system.
Alfresco living is the name of the game aboard Snowbird; the sky lounge features a full size bar, casual seating arrangement and games table while two aft decks offer elegant sofa seating and a designated colonial-styled chic dining area on the bridge aft deck.
The top level raised sundeck jacuzzi, granite-topped bar and sun lounger zone combine to create an idyllic setting for every occasion, be it intimate sunset cocktails or an early morning coffee watching the sunrise.
Sleeping 10 guests across five cabins, Snowbird’s colourful textiles punctuate a versatile accommodation layout which is entirely ensuite and air-conditioned. Arranged as a full-beam master stateroom on the main deck - with king-size bed, private study area, generous storage space and an open bathroom with Jacuzzi - there are `lso two VIP double cabins and two twins which can be converted into doubles if desired.
Furthermore, her shallow draft of 8ft (2.5m) makes her an excellent choice for more remote island hopping, with any land transfers facilitated by her two sleek and speedy tenders.
Serviced by a friendly and efficient crew of eight, Snowbird’s cruising speed is 10 knots rising to a maximum speed of 12 knots.
Activity is a buzzword on board Snowbird, and as such, she is the perfect choice for sporty guests of all ages. There’s plenty of fitness equipment to keep gym bunnies happy while her RYA-approved water sports centre offers a simply dazzling array of toys; two Sea Doo Spark wave runners, two E-foils, two SeaBobs, 1 slide, two paddle boards, a slalom ski, wakeboard, knee board, four kayaks, an island inflatable as well as chair and donut inflatables plus snorkelling and fishing gear.
In keeping with the buzzy vibe, Snowbird’s dining options cater to every tastebud, from the super healthy to the ultimate in high-level gastronomy. Start the day with a bountiful breakfast of freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit, oats and Greek yoghurt, saving space for a delicious veggie frittata or stuffed corn tortilla enfrijoladas. Marmalades, cookies and granola are all home-made on board.
An active morning will give you the appetite for a divine array of lunch platters including marinaded shrimp with lime, jalapeno, tomato and coriander, gazpacho, scallops with chipotle, mango, mint and onion, shrimp ceviche, broccoli basmati rice, seafood paella, fish tacos and fish fillet sarandeado roasted with garlic aioli, rounded off with a pineapple and tequila sorbet.
Dinner choices cover all aspects of the finest in Mediterranean, Mexican and global cuisine, featuring five tomato salad, creamy cauliflower soup with goats cheese, basil oil and roasted pistachios, intriguingly titled tortilla soup or lobster biscuit with serrano jam and rosemary croutons.
Lamb ravioli with port and red wine reduction, medallion of rosemary-marinaded beef served with roasted garlic mash potatoes and roasted vegetables, swordfish with potato puree and grilled asparagus or BBQ ribs are typical main courses while lavender panna cotta with raspberry coulis, Merlot-poached pears with cinnamon, vanilla, honey and a merlot-infused cream, berry pavlova cinnamon, apple crème brulée and nut brownie with vanilla ice cream are mouth-watering finishers.
