The Captain
A graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra, Captain Lefteris Papadomichelakis possesses three decades of marine experience, working on merchant ships before switching to the yachting industry.
Following stints on various motor yachts, he has been at the helm of O’Rion since 2004, and his tremendous experience and love of spending time with guests equate to an unforgettable charter experience. A keen fisherman, he often surprises guests with an unexpected barbecue of fresh fish caught during the charter.
Chef & Cuisine
A graduate of the Chef d’œuvre School, chef Konstantinos Markakis spent many years working in five star restaurants and hotels around the globe, including London’s Michelin starred Sketch, before transferring his high level skills to superyachting. He joined O’Rion in 2016 and enjoys impressing guests with a gastronomic roll call of dishes inspired by his travels all over the world.
Start a delectable food journey by trying his lobster medallion on cold tomato crème with orange and kiwi followed by marinated pike with asparagus and mixed salad with French dressing. Dorado filet with tarragon flavoured potato flakes on olive and tomato confit will make your mouth water while Frangelico infused panna cotta rounds off this decadent dining experience.
Konstantinos pays homage to his home country with a flavoursome menu of Greek salad and beef steak tartar followed by eggplant papoytsakia with beef ragout, rounding off with Kantaifi and orchid ice cream.
Lighter choices include spinach salad with mango, grapes and goat cheese, carpaccio with rocket, chicken fillet with coconut milk and curry and caramelized apples with raspberry vinegar and caramel ice cream.
